TGM does not offer a traditional mental health-focused model aimed at healing or curing grief. We DO NOT offer therapeutic or counseling services. We are grief educators! We promote loss reconciliation as a natural and normal process which allows us to pursue a full and meaningful life after a major loss. However, we do encourage grievers with pre-existing mental health struggles, unreconciled losses, PTSD, or suicidal ideations to seek professional mental health help immediately. We applaud professionals who specialize in these areas of complex grief.
This unique approach distinguishes TGM from other organizations in the grief support space. By framing grief as a natural part of the human experience, TGM seeks to remove the stigma surrounding it. The focus is on acceptance and understanding rather than 'fixing' what is inherently human. TGM’s workshops and training sessions provide grievers with practical tools to navigate their journey, emphasizing resilience and personal growth.
Moreover, TGM acknowledges the importance of professional intervention in cases of complex grief. By working in tandem with mental health professionals, TGM creates a comprehensive support system that addresses both the emotional and practical aspects of grief. This collaboration ensures that individuals receive holistic care, tailored to their unique needs.
